The episode begins with Paro, Lakshmi, and Shalu getting out of an auto. Paro approaches a girl and asks if she can play with her. The girl agrees. Meanwhile, Lakshmi bumps into someone and gathers her bags. Shalu asks Lakshmi what she was saying earlier. Lakshmi explains that Neelam aunty called multiple times, but she doesn’t want to argue or fight with her and later regret it. Shalu comments that Neelam has a big ego and that the situation is serious. Lakshmi insists she doesn’t want to talk to anyone.
Neelam tells Rano that she’s lucky to be acting foolish here instead of in her house and asks Rano to thank her for leaving her. Rano retorts that Neelam hasn’t done anything good for them to deserve a welcome. Neelam warns her to think before speaking, stating that she doesn’t speak much but always answers, which is why people respect her. She instructs Rano to tell Lakshmi that she has brought trouble upon herself.
Rishi tells Ayush that Lakshmi doesn’t want to talk or listen to him. He explains that he told her he wants to raise Paro with her, but she misunderstood and thought he wanted to give Paro to his mother. Ayush points out that Lakshmi is very scared of losing her only daughter, Paro.
Lakshmi tells Shalu that Paro will be upset, but she will manage. Shalu asks what she means. Lakshmi calls Paro, who is talking to the girl and asking where her dad got the toy. Lakshmi asks her to come. Neelam and Aanchal walk past without noticing them. Rishi complains that Lakshmi isn’t ready to listen. Ayush sympathizes, saying Lakshmi has suffered a lot and no amount of apologies can ease her pain.
Rano hears the doorbell and finds Lakshmi, Shalu, and Paro at the door. Lakshmi asks what’s wrong. Rano sends Paro away and tells Lakshmi that Neelam and Aanchal were there and said some harsh things, including that Lakshmi brought bad luck upon herself. Lakshmi says she understands and won’t let bad times come. She starts packing, saying they will leave immediately after feeding Paro. She tells Paro that they are going to the village because Dadi is unwell. Paro asks if they will return, and Lakshmi assures her they will.
Anushka asks Malishka what she’s doing in the kitchen. Malishka replies that as a mother, she’s making food for Rohan. Anushka advises her to focus on Rishi. Malishka says she’s doing what she should and has voiced her concerns to Neelam in a way that guarantees action. She recalls that Neelam threw Lakshmi out last time. Anushka points out that Rishi is also Neelam’s son and can do anything. She overheard Ayush and Rishi and feels that Rishi loves Lakshmi.
Rano takes Lakshmi, Shalu, and Paro to the bus stand. Lakshmi thanks her. Rano tells her that family members don’t thank each other and asks them to call after reaching home. They board the bus.
Malishka warns Anushka never to say that again, insisting that Rishi loves only her. Lakshmi feels something is wrong and misses Rishi, reminiscing about him. Malishka cries, saying Rishi loved her madly, and she didn’t see anyone else. She convinced him to marry Lakshmi for his safety, and he agreed only because of her. Shalu notices Lakshmi is emotional and asks why. Lakshmi feels like she’s separating a father from his daughter but insists it’s necessary. Malishka tells Anushka that Lakshmi used her middle-class tricks to trap Rishi, but he will eventually be hers again.
Lakshmi thinks the city gave her a lot but also took many things away. Rishi and Ayush arrive at Rano’s house, asking about Lakshmi. Rano says Lakshmi doesn’t stay there. Ayush asks for help in clearing their misunderstanding, but Rano repeats that Lakshmi isn’t there, shocking Rishi and Ayush. Lakshmi, meanwhile, despite her hatred for Rishi, finds herself trusting him. Just then, she notices the police approaching.
